Man injured in fight in Upper Beeding

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fight in which a 63-year-old man suffered minor injuries in Pound Lane, Upper Beeding, on Monday (6 July).

The incident happened at 6.10pm leaving the man with a cut by his left eye and swelling on his forehead, Sussex Police say.

PC Karen Goshawk said: “Fortunately he did not require any medical attention.

“Please contact us if you witnessed this incident or have any information which may help with our investigation.”

Any witness or anyone with information about the incident is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting serial 1371 of 06/07, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A 20-year-old man from Pulborough, has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He was questioned and released on bail until Sunday August 2.
