‘’As a result of enquiries to date, officers believe that further offences may have been committed against other boys.

‘’On Tuesday (27 September) Sussex detectives arrested a 55-year old man now living in Walton-on-the Naze, Essex, on suspicion of the sexual assaults on the boy. After being interviewed at a police station in Essex he was released on police bail later the same day until 28 November while enquiries continue.

‘’Sussex Police are working closely with the Diocese of Chichester’s Safeguarding Team, who are supporting this investigation.’’

Detective Superintendent Jason Tingley said; “If you have any information that would assist our investigation, including information about any other offences, please contact us via [email protected] or call Sussex 101, quoting Operation Barnwood, and arrange to talk in confidence to experienced detectives.”
