Arsonists torch two cars in Littlehampton

ARSONISTS wrecked two cars in Littlehampton during the early hours of this morning, fire officials announced today (Wednesday, January 30).

Fire crews from Littlehampton were first called out to an address in Leeward Road, at around 3.46am.

Officers used two hose-reels and breathing apparatuses to combat the blaze, which they say severely damaged the car.

They were on scene until 4.16am.

Less than 45 minutes after dealing with the first arson, firefighters were called out again, this time to nearby Thorncroft Road, where another car had been torched.

Police were in attendance. Both incidents are believed to have started deliberately and police are not ruling out the possibility that they may be connected.

Anyone with information about either fires should call Sussex Police, on 101 or independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
