Colleges reveal £70 million shared vision

A SHARED vision of providing outstanding education in Worthing has led to a £70 million scheme across two sites being finalised by the principals of Northbrook College and Worthing College.

David Percival of Northbrook and Peter Corrigan of Worthing College are set to bring a new era in post-16 edeucation to the town.

A cooperative working relationship has been established by the two, combining the best of two kinds of college- sixth form and further and higher education, together offering a curriculum to meet the needs of nearly all post-16 learners.

They announced on Friday that Northbrook plans to relocate from West Durrington to a new campus on its existing site at Broadwater. Worthing College will rebuild itself at Bolsover Road with 11,000 square metres of space with five acres of ther site re-designated for a housing development to fund the scheme.
