Children enjoy colourful day at Peasmarsh

PEASMARSH Primary School hosted a colourful day for other schools in trhe Rye area.

Year 1 and 2 children from Guestling, Icklesham, Playden, Brede and St Thomas’ Winchelsea learned all about Holi the Indian festival of colour during which time they produced large colourful elephants, bright woven patterns, Mehndi designs and paintings in the style of Jackson Pollock.

Peasmarsh Head Alexander McMillan said: “We are looking forward to welcoming children from years 5 and 6 for another enrichment day in April focusing on Geometry and Islamic Design.”
