Cash boost for West Meads surgery

An anonymous donation of Â£1,000 has got a West Meads fundraising group off to a good start. The cheque has enabled the Friends of West Meads Surgery to order its first examination couch.

This comes just three months after the group was formed to help the surgery's GPs.

A first coffee morning between 10am and midday this Saturday,at West Meads Hall in The Precinct, will raise money for a second couch. The couches '“ costing 1,200 each '“ help to manage the needs of disabled patients.
