BREAKING NEWS: Elderly woman hit by car in Midhurst’s North Street
An elderly woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car when she stepped off the pavement in Midhurst’s North Street at 11am this morning (February 13).
Dealing with the incident PC Steve Butcher of Arundel Roads Policing said: “The woman who is in her 80s and comes from Midhurst received injuries to her right arm and has been taken to St Richards Hospital, Chichester for treatment.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police on 101 quoting the incident number 464 of 13/2/13.
A passerby told the Observer the woman stepped off the pavement outside Michael Courtney, butchers in North Street and was hit by a car which was reversing slowly along the layby.
