‘Boxed-in’ road spared
Five new properties planned for Gorings Mead were deferred by Horsham District Council to allow talks with the applicant for a more appropriate mix of housing.
Considering the size of the plot and the neighbouring properties in Horsham town centre street Godfrey Newman (LDem, Forest) and other members felt that bungalows would be more appropriate.
Quoting David Sheldon (LDem, Denne) he said that residents of the adjacent Boxall Walk would feel more like ‘Boxed-in Walk’.
