Bognor Regis memory walk for Alzheimer's Society

PATIENTS and their relatives joined staff from the Cherington Nursing Home in Bognor Regis on a memory walk. It was part of an annual, national event aimed at raising money for the Alzheimer's Society and increasing awareness of dementia.

These walks give patients a chance to visit different surroundings and enjoy new sights and views.

Cherington, part of the Saffronland group of homes, is in Stocker Road, so walkers took advantage of the local parks, promenade and pavements by beginning their stroll in fine weather at Marine Park Gardens.

Cherington manager Lorraine Davis said: "The memory walk is an important date in our calendar. It is always such a pleasure to see residents enjoy days such as these with their loved ones."
