Bike women mugged in a good cause
NEW Bexhill-based all-girl motorcycle club Women On Wheels has thanked the public for their forbearance in allowing themselves to be "mugged" in a good caused.
Snow White, Father Christmas, fairies and reindeer took to their bikes for a charity fancy dress cruise taking in McDonalds, the Megabowl, Tescos and the Bopeep pub.
Club chairman Caroline Gough said: "Thanks to the people of Bexhill for their understanding when they were mugged by Women on Wheels last Wednesday, we will be presenting 130.22 to the William Daly Care And Support Scheme."
The cash will be used to buy presents for children who have a parent who is terminally ill and children with other difficulties.
