Beware of these online holiday companies, say watchdogs.

CONSUMER watchdogs are urging people to contact the Metropolitan Police about two holiday companies.

A police investigation into Fleetwood Holidays and Sun Orient has levelled suspicions at a number of holiday websites.

County Council Trading Standards officers are appealing for anyone who has booked a holiday with any of the following:

www.sunmedresorts.com

www.unbeatableholidays.com

www.holidaysforunder200pounds.com

www.holidayrez.com

www.holidayez.com

Margaret Butler, Principal Fair Trading Officer, said anyone experiencing problems contacting these companies or receiving tickets should contact the Metropolitan Police through their website, at www.met.police.uk/fraudalert.

She added: "If you have lost money in this way, and you have paid by credit card for a holiday with a value of more than 100 then you may well be able to obtain a refund from your credit card company. For more advice call 01243 642124."
