Beeching Park party day

Beeching Park is a day centre for adults with learning disabilities but this is also a great example of a public building with solid green credentials.

For instance, a system of 58 solar panels stands on its roof, capable of producing 8,000KW hours of electricity and preventing the release of nearly 3.5 tons of CO each year.

As well as showing off the centre's new facilities, the open day will offer the opportunity for everyone to learn about some of the activities that take place in the day centre '“ from music, art, and photography to Train Club and gardening. If the weather is fine there may even be time for a game of cricket.
