Assault on paperboy

POLICE are appealing for information after a paperboy was indecently assaulted in Uckfield this week.

The 14-year-old youth was subjected to the assault while delivering newspapers on Grange Road, at 7.30am on Tuesday. The attack happened when a man approached the boy and tried to grab him. During the assault, the boy and the man both fell to the ground. The assailant then ran away.

The attacker was described as having an 'olive complexion, and '1960s style shoulder length black hair. He was said to be aged between 40 and 50, and 6ft tall. He was described as wearing a bright red waist-length jacket with drawstrings around the neck, and dark blue jeans.
