Having won the award for Creative Arts last year, Conor Weedon was soon after featured in the WSCT sister title etc magazine. His FACES exhibition is on in The Capitol’s gallery until September 13.
He is attracted by the precise nature of portrait work and his favourite style of drawing is photo-realistic minimalism.

“I also enjoy the challenge of drawing well-known people, as some of their faces are so familiar to us that accuracy becomes paramount; it looks odd if the drawing is even slightly wrong.”
His works range from £100-£700 with prints available soon through his online store at conorweedon.bigcatel.com
Conor’s work was also recognised by a Seattle-based media company for whom he made a poster of a live-action trailer for a popular horror game. He is now working through some different styles, which he will be posting on his Facebook page CWArtist.
