Anti-social behaviour sees Crowborough bank shut ATM

People vomiting or urinating in the lobby of Lloyds Bank in Crowborough has forced the management to close the area outside of normal opening hours.

The closure means people will not be able to use the cash machine situated inside after 5pm.

Although there is CCTV in the entrance to the bank, operators have decided to close it after considering carefully whether there is any other action they could have taken.

They suggest customers use alternative cash machines in the town after 5pm.

A spokesman said: “Unfortunately, due to mis-use of this facility, we have changed the opening hours of our ATM lobby at the Lloyds Bank branch in Crowborough. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused as a result of this change. The ATM lobby will continue to be available during branch hours.”

A notice in the bank’s window says the decision is due to anti-social behaviour.
