New fried chicken restaurant opens in Crawley

All the dishes from Slim Chickens are cooked to order and ready to eat in 10 minutes. The emphasis is on quality and freshness, and the chicken Tenders are the best-selling dish on the menu.

These are pieces of succulent chicken marinated in buttermilk, breaded and fried until crispy. There’s also chicken wings, and a vegetarian option of plant-based ‘Chicks’.

Whatever your taste there will be something to suit you with 14 different dipping sauces to choose from – Spicy BBQ for a kick or Fiery Inferno for those who really like it hot! You could go cheesy with Blue Cheese or Garlic Cheese, be traditional with Buffalo, Honey Mustard or House Ranch or try the Mango Habanero or Sriracha Garlic to ring the changes.

With Sandwiches, salads and wraps, kids meals, shakes and drinks there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

Football stars join opening event

The restaurant, at Crawley Leisure Park, officially opens on Thursday, April 27 when three free tenders will be given out to those first in line. Members of Crawley Town FC will also be there on the day for a meet and greet. Slim Chickens have partnered with the club to run a competition to win hospitality tickets to the last game of the season, a signed shirt and £50 to spend at Slims. The winner will be announced on the opening day.

If you’re eating in, there are family seating areas, booths and cosy seating for more intimate moments. The dining experience is relaxed and casual – here everyone should feel at home.
