The company - Positive Images based in West Chiltington - has now diversified into supplying health equipment - temperature testing stations, thermal imaging camera technology that allows multiple temperature readings to be taken, and ‘sneeze guards’ - for use in a range of environments such as shops, offices and factories.

Equipment has already been snapped up by local schools and doctors’ surgeries.

Managing director Martin Bennett, who started the exhibition stand business 23 years ago, said: “I have a fantastic team of people and we were conducting business all over the world but in March this year it all just stopped.”

Positive Images’ offices in West Chiltington closed and staff were put on furlough.

But, by diversifying from exhibition stands to Covid-combatting equipment, Martin is determined to keep the company going. “In October, November or next year, I want to ensure all my staff survive,” he said.

“We are able to respond to a wide spectrum of requirements in order to facilitate a comfortable and safe return to work whereby staff and visitors feel protected and secure when returning to the ‘new normal’ out on the high street, at work or at school.”

As well as supplying health equipment, Martin has also launched a new logistics company - Positive Images Logistics - offering a courier service to people needing items moved around the country.

“This is just myself at present but I’m already seeing results and I’m moving all manner of items from performance car parts to vital NHS PPE and other Covid-19 related goods.”
