Frankie and Benny’s in Sovereign Harbour Retail Park has been closed by its owners, The Restaurant Group (TRG), after the company said it needs to ensure a sustainable future for the business.

This comes after TRG announced last month (June) it would be closing 125 restaurants across the country after entering into a company voluntary arrangement.

A Frankie and Benny’s spokesperson said, “The casual dining sector has faced enormous, well documented pressures which have been exacerbated by covid-19 and the lockdown.

“Unfortunately, we have had to take difficult but necessary decisions to ensure a sustainable future for our business.

“We have been in close contact with affected colleagues throughout this process and we are doing all we can to support them during this time.”
