This year’s magical adventure is the spellbinding story of Beauty and The Beast and the Dame Mademoiselle Renee Tasse de Thé will be played by seasoned pantomime performer Alex Wadham.

Alex is currently in the national number one touring production The Mousetrap, which is coincidentally at The Capitol between October 5 and 10 this year. Many will know him from his TV work including Channel 4’s The Science of Attraction, as well as some of his major theatre appearances in Crazy For You (London Palladium), Wind in the Willows (Cambridge Touring Theatre), A Christmas Carol and Over The Rainbow: The Eva Cassidy Story. Alex trained at Aberystwyth University and went on to the Guildford School of Acting where he was a Postgraduate Acting Prize Winner and was nominated for the Hobson’s Prize.

With big hair, big make-up and an even bigger personality, Mademoiselle Renee Tasse de Thé will not disappoint, organising everyone in the village and ensuring that everything is kept on track. She might even have a particular passion for a cup of tea!
