Beki will be playing at the bar, which is located opposite the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Millbrook, on Tuesday, July 21, from 8pm.

Beki said: “I enjoyed my first time playing at Bar des Arts so much that I decided to go back and perform again. I will be treating the audience to a selection of tracks from my new album, including ‘Young Women’s Blues’ and ‘New Shoelaces.’

“I’ll also be covering a couple of classics such as John Mayall’s ‘Posessive Emotions’, Sonny Boy Williamson’s ‘Help Me’ and James ‘Yank’ Rachell’s ‘Diving Duck Blues’.”

Beki was discovered by Rick Danko and Richard Manuel from ‘The Band’, while she was at Indiana University and playing with early Blues legend, James ‘Yank’ Rachell of Diving Duck and She Caught the Katy.

She joined the Tom Pacheco band and in 1988 joined The Mary Stokes Blues Band as the lead guitarist and experienced overnight Irish fame after playing the Guinness Jazz Festival and a regular slot on the TV show ‘Nighthawks.’ Beki has shared the stage with a variety of artists including Hot House Flowers, members of U2, The Waterboys, Paul Butterfield and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Tickets for the event will cost £10 per person. Booking is essential and can be done by calling the bar on 01483 453227.
