Mrs Down's Diary September 17

MY granddaughter, Jessica, said she had 'the most exciting day of my life' today. A visit to the cattle market. Twice in fact. Once with Pappa and once with me.

She was off early this morning with Pappa to take two heifers in. One was another management slip-up. A heifer with horns. And a nasty, bullying, heifer at that.

She has become quite dangerous as she knows that she can use her horns to get in first to fresh hay and the barley trough.
