Little Common WI had the pleasure of spending their September meeting on a sunny afternoon. President Pauline Rosne, welcomed everyone, including guest speaker, Mr. C. Jones.

For the third successive year, it rained on the August Garden Party, which became a House Party! Committee Members had made delicious cream scones and fancy cakes for us. There was a Bring and Buy stall and a Raffle, with much friendly banter. A happy time was had by all. Thanks to Pat Creed, who was presented with a lovely plant in appreciation.

Guest speak, Mr. C. Jones' talk on the Blue Coat School was so interesting. He was not only able to impart the history of this ancient school, but, having been a pupil, he could tell us of his own experiences when there.

On thanking Mr. Jones, Pam Waters explained that she also had been a pupil at the equivalent Blue Coat School for girls.

The competition of an unusual book was won by Pam.

Although some members were on holiday, as always, it was an enjoyable meeting amongst friends.

The Annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at 2pm.
