Hastings and District Anglo-French Club

IT is a happy coincidence that Michael Short, composer musician, pianist and loyal member of our Club will entertain us next Tuesday afternoon, October 14, as one of the celebrations of Hastings Week.

All are welcome to hear Mr Short's recordings and discussion, mainly in French, of 'La Musique Francaise au Cours des Siecles'.

The afternoon starts at 2.30pm as usual in the Hall of the Holy Redeemer Church, Upper Church Road, St Leonards.

Last time, at our annual meeting, chairman Mary Rodger first paid tribute to Jean Paul Heuclin, former Chairman and long-standing friend of the Club, who died in January, and is still much missed. Valerie Collier was elected to the committee in place of Diana Stephens who was thanked for her work both on the committee and for her time as Hon. Treasurer. We were also pleased to welcome several new members. The meeting was followed by a quiz and refreshments.
