Bexhill Photographic Club

BEXHILL members met for their final meeting of 2007 at the Friends Meeting House, Albert Road, the evening was our first digital fun competition.

Each member was invited to enter one or two digital images through the email or by CD. Eddie Sturgeon our digital secretary with his assistant Paul Hutchings ran the show without a hitch, and the winner of the inaugural competition, (which was incidentally judged by member's votes) was Paul Dunmall a recent new member with his long exposure entitled "Gone Fishing". Was the water really defused due to a time exposure or was it purely down to some work with the software package on the computer? - we will never know! Second place was Brian Hazell's 'Clock Tower at night'. (It was good to see Brian back with us since last April he has been through the hoop) but was well enough to join us. The evening was sealed with a little festive social.

The following evening some Bexhill members enjoyed a close run Match-a-Slide fun competition at Eastbourne Photographic Club against the hosts and Uckfield Photographic Club. The three-way competition went like clockwork with Dorothy Reeve projecting, husband Brian scoring and with Chris Martin, Paul Hutchings and Norman King making up the team, Bexhill were eventual winners by four clear points.
