Spokeswoman Linda Foskett said: “If people wish to visit at other times please contact us to arrange a convenient appointment. This could be an interesting and hopefully an enjoyable experience for us all.

“Due to the size of the space we would ask you to respect others and our staff.

“Visitors are limited to one or one family/group at a time. You will be asked to use sanitiser as you enter.

“Gloves are provided to let you look through the browsers and touch items.

“Please leave the gloves when you leave to be washed for future visitors.

“We are only a small gallery so have filled the larger room with as much variety as possible to suit all tastes. We will have further work available in the smaller back room which is now for staff only.

“Due to limited wall space not everything will be on display.

“We can bring other works out for you to view.

“If you have a particular interest in mind, be it style, artist, size or type of work, please let us know in advance so that we can try to have a selection available for your visit.

“Please contact [email protected] so that one of us can open the gallery for you.”

Due to the cancellation of many events Linda was unable to exhibit in the Chichester Art trail with her solo show but she will have her new work available now in the gallery and is always happy to open her own studio for private visits.

With the coronavirus lockdown having a major impact on many of our local valued advertisers - and consequently the advertising that we receive - we are more reliant than ever on you helping us to provide you with news and information by buying a copy of our newspapers.

Our journalists are highly trained and our content is independently regulated by IPSO to some of the most rigorous standards in the world. But being your eyes and ears comes at a price. So we need your support more than ever to buy our newspapers during this crisis.

Stay safe, and best wishes.
