Wickers sink into crisis

TEN-MAN SOUTHWICK were plunged further into trouble at the wrong end of the table on Saturday, when third-bottom Littlehampton deservedly collected their first win of the season.

Going into the game, Wickers were without a goal in three games, having conceded 13, and Golds manager Andy Taylor reckoned his side needed to grind out a win in order to kick-start their season.

Grant Vanson produced five useful crosses from the right in that time, all of which could have produced goals one of which did.

Wickers were reduced to 10 men after Jason Tighe (stripes) was sent off 20 minutes from time.
