WICKERS IN DEEP TROUBLE
SOUTHWICK Cricket Club's position in the top tier of the Sussex Invitation League is in serious jeopardy after their defeat at home to Pagham on Saturday.
Pagham were bottom before the game but won all 30 points and have now leap-frogged Wickers, who drop into the relegation zone. Southwick do not have a game this weekend but they next face Goring away in a match they cannot afford to lose.
However, Pagham host Goring this Saturday and a Pagham win could see them move a possible 36 points clear of Southwick with both teams having five matches left.
