Hildreth said: “It was the complete performance from start to finish and now we’re one game away from a final, which is fantastic.

“We reached the semi-finals of the National Cup last year, when we came up short against Leeds.

“It would be great to get to a final this year but we can’t get too ahead of ourselves.

“We’ve got two games this weekend and we have to remain focused for them to try to improve our league standing.”

Thunder, who are third from bottom in EBL Division 1, host fourth-from-bottom Medway Park at Worthing Leisure Centre on Saturday (7.30pm), before they travel to Newham Neptunes, who occupy the final play-off position in eighth, on Sunday.

Hildreth said: “If we can get two wins, it will get us a bit closer to the next group of teams just above us.

“We can’t think about the semi-final yet. It’s important to focus on this weekend and, hopefully, get two victories.”
