Thunder moved into the EBL Division 1 play-off places at the weekend, after wins at Westminster and Essex increased their winning run to eight games.

Worthing host second-placed Team Northumbria in their final home match of the season on Saturday (7.30pm), before travelling to bottom-of-the-table Brixton in their final game on April 7.

Hildreth said: “It’s a big game for us as a club on Saturday. We’re hoping for a full house, so that we can go out and say thank you to the crowd for their fantastic support this year. I’d also like to thank all the fans who have given us support on Twitter and Facebook as well.

“We’ve had a fantastic run of late and I’m glad that the players have got themselves into this position.”

On the play-off race, Hildreth said: “There’s two teams below us who both have games in hand, so we’re not resting on our laurels.

“All we can do is win both of our remaining games to put the pressure on the teams around us.

“Unfortunately, we’ve lost the head-to-heads with Bradford, Hemel and Leicester, so will have to finish with more points than them.

“We’re looking to finish the season with 13 wins and will then see what happens.”
