Steyning draw at Sidlesham

STEYNING TOWN FC were held to their first scoreless draw for more than a year at Sidlesham on Tuesday.

Their last 0-0 was at Westfield on March 18, 2006, '” 37 games ago.

It was almost a 1-0 Steyning win but Greg Hearne's last-minute shot, which beat Sidlesham's keeper, hit a defender in face on the goal line.

Steyning keeper Dave Angell made some excellent saves in the first half to keep his side in it. But Town looked the more dangerous in the second half, with Sean Hourigan, Paul Schofield and Steve Duffett all going close.
