The No 8 had an impressive first year with the Roundstone Lane club as he ran home nine tries.

Second row Scott Barlow was the players’ player of the season.

Paul Burns was the second team player of the year, with Ben Wilcockson winning the players’ player award.

Darlington Mowden Park won the National 2 play-off on Saturday when they won 30-28 at home to Ampthill & District.

Raiders head coach Kieron Dawson has been charged with conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game in their final National 1 match against Wharfedale at Roundstone Lane in April.

Dawson is alleged to have verbally used and/or used intimidating and/or aggressive and/or confrontational behaviour towards match officials.

An RFU disciplinary panel will meet at the London Bloomsbury Holiday Inn Hotel on Tuesday to hear the case. The panel will be chaired by Jeremy Summers.
