Kiba's return will breed confidence '“ Dawson

WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club head coach Kieron Dawson admits it is a big boost to have Kiba Richards back at the club.

Centre Richards starred in two previous spells at Rounstone Lane, from 2005 to 2007 and from 2011 to 2014. He has returned to the club from Rosslyn Park and made his latest debut in the 38-5 win at Cornish All Blacks on Saturday.

Dawson said: “It’s good to have Kiba back and it breeds a bit more confidence for everyone.

“Hopefully, we’ll have him around for two to three years now. Our forwards have been great this year but we’ve maybe lacked a bit of potency in converting the chances we have had.

“That will hopefully change having someone with Kiba’s quality back but we’ve also missed the likes of Alex Nielsen and Sam Aspland-Robinson, who get on the end of things, this season.”

Dawson hopes to have Nielsen back available at the end of the month, while Finlay Coxon-Smith and Jamie Redmayne are also closing in on returns.
