Raiders win away to Clifton

WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club remain in pole position in the National 2 South title race after a 38-21 win at Clifton on Saturday (April 6).

The win keeps leaders Raiders seven points ahead of second-placed Henley Hawks, who thrashed fourth-placed Redruth 65-19, although Worthing have played a game more.

Third-placed Hartpury College were victorious 39-18 at fifth-placed Shelford and stay 10 points behind Raiders.

Worthing led 24-0 at one stage, before Clifton got the score back to 24-21, but Raiders added 14 more unanswered points.
