Preparations are underway for Hildreth

Hildreth is hopeful of a pre-season game against the USA Select team again, like last year, and hopes to have his squad sorted, including two import players, when the season starts – with a National Trophy game – on September 20.

Hildreth said: “As a club, we remain focussed on bringing through local and junior players and we’ll do the same again next season.

“Last year, we didn’t have everyone available from the start of the season. This year, we hope to have the two import players here for the start and, all being well, for part of pre-season as well.

“The import players will fill the positions where we don’t currently have an abundance of players. We have a lot of young, local guards, so will look to bring in some big, inside American imports.”
