Oak win at Wickers

MILE OAK Football Club moved upto fourth place in Division 2 with a 2-1 win at local rivals Southwick on Easter Monday.

Darryl Livesey's volley, from Scott Carden's corner, took a deflection off Southwick's Jack Hayward to give Oak the lead a minute into the second half.

Danny Molineaux headed Wickers level from Wayne Joseph's corner on 55 minutes, but two minutes later Oak went back ahead.

Mark Curram was brought down in the penalty area by Conor McCurdy and Carden scored from the spot.

Oak keeper Aaron Stenning made two outstanding saves to keep his side ahead, before Oak's Keiron Howard had his injury-time penalty brilliantly saved by Southwick keeper Gareth Cook.

In Division 1, John O'Hara League Cup winners Shoreham were held to a 0-0 draw at Worthing United.
