Mussels hold the leaders at East Brighton

SHOREHAM Football Club boosted the second half of their season with a 1-1 draw away to Sussex County League leaders Whitehawk. The Mussels equalised in the 70th minute and stepped out of the bottom four above Sidley United on goal difference.

Southwick pulled off another fine result. They came out 1-0 on top at home to East Grinstead, who had they won would have gone into fourth place.

Steyning Town are Division 2 Cup semi-finalists, thanks to a 2-1 win at Crawley Down in a clash between two clubs in the bottom seven.Town now go to Lancing.

And Mile Oak put together a winning day away to Lingfield. Their 2-0 victory was sealed with a Paul Eaton penalty nine minutes from time.
