LAST BALL DECIDER AT GORING
SOUTHWICK controversially won at Goring on Saturday to all but condemn their hosts to Division 2 cricket next season but it looks like Wickers will still join them there after Pagham's surprise win at Broadwater.
Paul Grennan bowled Chris Geere off the last ball of the game for Wickers to win but the talking point was Matt Sheppard's dismissal by Southwick's century-maker Chris Summers. Summers was running into bowl but then took off the bails as Sheppard was backing up. The umpires seemed unclear of the rules and gave Sheppard out much to Goring's disgust.
Summers had warned Sheppard three balls earlier but had not taken the bails off that time.
