KHAN'S WONDERFUL TON IS ALL IN VAIN

STEYNING'S Jibram Khan was left to reflect that his potential match winning innings of 146 at the Sportsfield on Sunday counted for nothing. Soon after Khan had skied a catch to Littlehampton skipper Stuart Stoneham at mid-wicket, persistent rain brought a premature end to the Sussex League Cup semi-final tie which was very much in the balance.

The game will be replayed at The Sportsfield on Sunday with the winners playing Preston Nomads in the final at Horsham on August 29. If the tie is not completed on Sunday the outcome will be decided on a bowl-out.
