Former Raiders in England under-20 squad

A contingent of former Worthing Raiders Rugby Club loanees have been included in England's under-20 World Rugby Championship squad.

Harlequins trio and former Raiders loan players Joe Marchant, Sam Aspland-Robinson and Stan South are all in Martin Haag’s 28-man squad.

The tournament, which takes place in Manchester next month, will see England face Italy, Scotland and Australia in Pool B.

The host nation have a strong record in the tournament having reached six finals in the last eight years but this squad has a unique opportunity to play in front of their home supporters.

Speaking after naming his squad England under-20 squad, head coach Haag said: “This group will only play together for this tournament. It will be a proud moment when they pull on the white jersey and run out in front of family and friends in a home World Cup.”
