Worthing progress in FA Cup
WORTHING FC won their FA Cup preliminary round tie 3-1 at Whitstable on Saturday (September 3).
Tom Lawley netted for the fourth time in five games to give Rebels a ninth-minute lead, before John Lansdale doubled the advantage two minutes into the second half.
Whitstable pulled a goal back on 77 minutes but Lansdale restored Worthing’s two-goal lead four minutes later.
