VIDEO: The Pinnacle Sport and Leisure One Stump Challenge launched by Littlehampton Cricket Club

THE Pinnacle Sport and Leisure One Stump Challenge got off to a successful start at Littlehampton Cricket Club on Friday (May 27).

The challenge has been set up for local cricket teams this summer by the Herald/Gazette sports team and the target is to hit one stump when bowling one legitimate delivery.

Littlehampton were the first team to volunteer to take on the challenge and had 20 club members at their net session last week who attempted it.

The banter was flying about between the players but two of them, Harry Standing and Darren Bazley, held their nerve to hit the stump and win themselves a specially-designed One Stump Challenge t-shirt.

Each attempt at the challenge was recorded. Click to watch the video of all the players’ trying to hit the stump.

The challenge is open to all local teams and if you want to have a go, get in touch with the Herald/Gazette sports team at [email protected] or 01903 282389/399.

All attempts will be recorded and will go on our series of websites.
