Mile Oak Football Club boss Anthony Whittington believes victory over Storrington on Saturday could kick-start a promotion push.

Oak host third-placed Swans in Southern Combination League Division 1 on Saturday.

Whittington’s side sit fifth, 11 points behind Storrington but with four games in hand.

Oak are in superb form and have won their last seven league games.

Saturday will be their first game for a month but Whittington is hoping his side can pick up all three points. He said: “We know it’s going to be tough as they are going well. But a win for us and then in our next few league games could set us up nicely. It’s our first game for a while but I’m hopeful we will be ready.”
