There will be plenty of local interest, with three Brighton & Hove Albion players named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

Jake Forster-Caskey, who has 12 caps, Solly March, who has one, and keeper Christian Walton, who is uncapped, have all been named in the squad.

England are away to Bosnia today, before the game at The Amex on Monday, which kicks-off at 5.45pm.

Southgate is looking forward to bringing his young squad to Brighton and said: “We’ve had super support around the country in the last couple of years, with attendances. It’s a nice way to take England on the road.

“It gives youngsters the chance to go down and see the stars of tomorrow just down the road. Last year, we had 35,000 at Middlesbrough when we played Germany and we had 20,000 at Wolves for the Croatia game.

“There are some exciting players in our squad. We want to play football in a way that people who have been to watch us have enjoyed and we’ve seen over the last year or so, there’s quite a quick progression into the senior team.

“Although people are looking at an under-21 squad, a few of these boys have the potential to go up to the seniors. It’s always nice for supporters to be able to say ‘oh yeah, I saw him play at under-21 level and I knew he was going to get there’ or whatever their assessment might be.”
