SOUTHWICK Football Club travel to fellow high-flyers Bosham on Saturday with a place in the semi-finals of the County League Division 3 Cup at stake.
Wickers, who are fifth in the table, travel to leaders Bosham, where they have already won in the league this season.
Southwick boss John Kilgarriff knows his side will face a difficult task and said: “We have already won at Bosham this season, so they will be out to get a bit of revenge.
“Having won there already this year, though, means the squad will have confidence that they can repeat the feat.
“It’s a cup contest, so it will probably be really open with no points to take like you would have in the league.
“There is a big incentive for both sides to win as the semi-final draw looks to be favourable for the victors.
“If we could knock Bosham out, it would give us a great boost and really help us kick on.”
Southwick were due to travel to Billingshurst in County League Division 3 on Saturday but the game was postponed owing to a waterlogged pitch.
Kilgarriff was disappointed that another game was called off and said: “It’s been really frustrating in the past few weeks with a few games cancelled.
“We just want to get out and play football and, at the moment, the weather is making that difficult.”
