Some games go-ahead but several postponed again

THE Sussex County League fixture programme has had several games postponed after the heavy rain last night.

There are a few local sides still in action, though. In Division 1, Shoreham entertain Rye United and Worthing United travel to Selsey.

In Division 2, Mile Oak host AFC Uckfield and Rustington entertain Little Common. And in Division 3, Clymping’s match at Sidlesham is still on.

East Preston’s FA Vase game with Brantham Athletic is also still on, but will now take place at Lancing’s Culver Road ground.

Worthing’s Ryman League South Division match at Faversham is also still on.

Elswhere in the Sussex County League, Arundel’s home game with Lancing in Division 1 has been called off owing to the flood damage at Mill Road.

Littlehampton’s match at Chichester is off owing to a waterlogged pitch.

In Division 2, Storrington’s match at Oakwood has been called off, along with Steyning Town’s home game with Midhurst and Wick & Barnham’s home match with Bexhill.

In Division 3, Southwick’s game at Rottingdean Village has been postponed.

And Ferring’s Sussex Intermediate Cup quarter-final with Hurstpierpoint is also off.
