Rosenior and Bong nearing Albion returns

ALBION boss Chris Hughton admitted that defenders Gaetan Bong and Liam Rosenior are not too far away from a return to action.

Rosenior, who has been out for three months with a medial knee injury, trained for the first time today, while Bong is set to return to training on Sunday.

Left-back Bong has been missing since limping out of Albion’s 0-0 home draw with Preston on October 24.

But there is some bad news for Brighton as skipper Gordon Greer will not be fit for Saturday’s home clash with Bolton.

Captain Greer is due to return to training next week but Sam Baldock is in contention after coming through training this week.

Speaking on Albion’s injuries, Hughton said: “There is some good news on the longer term absentees with Liam training for the first time today, which is a big plus for us, but he’s been out for a while.

“We’re are hopeful that Gaetan will train on Sunday and we are hopeful that a lot of those who have been out are getting close.”

“Gordon will train next week but he won’t be available for the weekend. Sam has trained this week and come through fine.”
