Mussels took four age-group teams to France as they went in search of yet more success on the continent.

As well as Mussels’ under-ten team, under-11 and 12 sides and two under-13 teams took part.

It was a second straight year of success for Shoreham’s youngest team as they managed to defend their crown.

Mussels’ other teams also did themselves proud with some fine results.

Both under-11 and 13 blue teams bowed out of the competition at the semi-final stage on penalties, while the under-13 maroon side suffered a cruel final defeat in a shootout.

The Shoreham under-12 team, who were playing an age-group up, missed out on reaching the second round by just a point but it was a great effort from all of the players in that team, with the club thanking all for their efforts on a great weekend.
