SHOREHAM Football Club player-manager Kane Louis struck a hat-trick as his side hit Hailsham for six on Tuesday.

Mussels recorded their first league win of the season with a comprehensive performance.

Louis netted the opener with a left-footed shot into the top corner on four minutes, before he set up Mark Goldson for the second on 17 minutes.

Hailsham were reduced to ten men for a second booking on 35 minutes but got a goal back immediately when Shaun Lee headed home a free kick.

Terrell Miller set up Louis to make it 3-1 seven minutes later, before Louis completed his hat-trick from another Miller pass on 67 minutes. Miller then got on the scoresheet on 82 minutes, before Okwute Izuchukwu netted the rebound a minute later when Miller’s shot was saved.

Louis said: “Hailsham is a tough place to go but we started brightly and it was an excellent performance.”

Mussels entertain East Preston on Saturday and then travel to Eastbourne Town on Tuesday.
