County League programme hit by waterlogged pitches

A number of County League games have already been called off today (January 12) owing to waterlogged pitches.

In Division 1, East Preston versus Hailsham, Lingfield against Arundel and Sidley’s match at home to Worthing United have all been called off.

Shoreham’s game away to Rye is currently on, while Lancing played out a 0-0 draw at home to Hassocks last night (Friday, January 11).

The games involving our local sides in Division 2 that have been postponed are Bexhill v Rustington; Southwick v Storrington, Mile Oak v Newhaven, Wick v Westfield and Midhurst v Littlehampton.

In Division 3, Ferring’s match at Rottingdean is off, as is Clymping’s home tie with Hassocks Reserves in the Sussex Intermediate Cup.
