The English top flight has set a provisional restart date of June 17, with all 92 matches due to be televised and Brighton will return to action behind closed doors against Arsenal on the weekend of June 20.

Amazon will make its four Premier League matches in the remainder of the 2019-20 season free to air. Sky Sports has announced 25 of its 64 matches will be free to air on its Pick channel, while the BBC has the rights to screen four games on terrestrial TV.

It appears likely some teams will play three times in seven days. The new schedule is expected to have six rounds taking place on long weekends from Friday-Monday and there will be three lots of midweekers on June 23-25, July 7-9 and July 14-16. The league wants to conclude on the weekend of 25-26 July.

Brighton vs Manchester United, Bournemouth vs Newcastle, Arsenal vs Norwich, Everton vs Leicester, Manchester City vs Liverpool, Sheffield United vs Tottenham and West Ham vs Chelsea look set to be moved to midweek due to the FA Cup quarter-finals, rescheduled for June 27-28.

Manchester City against Arsenal and Aston Villa verus Sheffield United are to be first on the revised schedule, which is close to being finalised.

Meanwhile, only one individual out of 1,197 tested positive in the latest round of Premier League coronavirus tests. It is another encouraging set of results for the league, which reported no positive tests in the previous round. The individual concerned must now self-isolate for a period of seven days.
